Persistence Overcomes Resistance

The effort put into your intention after the magick is cast will indicate the time it takes to see your spell come into fruition. How we go about drawing in or manifesting our desires is an indicator for how serious we are about getting what we want. If I am asking for the best possible job out there but then never search for a job, I am clearly not that interested in working. But if I search and apply for any job I find, even if I am turned down a thousand times, eventually that ideal position is going to be mine. And the fact that I was turned down so many times indicates that none of those jobs were actually perfect for me.

Through persistence after spell work, the endeavor to gain my desire at any cost is the true magick. While of course magick was used in the form of a spell, the request would have fallen on deaf ears had it not been pushed to come into being. When I was a homeless teen, I didn’t enjoy having survival sex; I did it in order to survive. I didn’t stop using this survival tactic before I found a better way to handle the situation, and I did not stop searching for a way out until I found one. Going to the coffee shop every day, showing the owner that I wanted to work and wasn’t interested in being lazy is what got me hired on. Magick responds to our spells in the same way the coffee shop owner responded to my endeavor to better myself.

Persistence will overcome resistance—if we try and then keep going, a solution will present itself. When we use magick to manifest those solutions, it is our responsibility to get to work on finding the way out of our problem. It is our responsibility to help the magick we create help us. Because we’ve used magick in order to assist us, the best possible outcome is nearly guaranteed as long as we make the right choices and keep trying despite apparent defeat.
